The data & evaluation learning journey is hard

Are you a nonprofit leader responsible for data projects? If so, do you have a support system and a roadmap to help you navigate important data collection & management choices that impact on your community?

Evaluation as a field is filled with jargon and not standardized. There are almost infinite learning resources available, but it can be difficult to wade through these to find the right frameworks and tools to apply in your organization.

We’ve navigated this winding learning journey ourselves, and we want to make your journey easier. Our training and coaching provides nonprofit teams with practical knowledge, templates, and frameworks to:

  • Jumpstart their team’s data literacy

  • Define a coherent and compelling impact strategy

  • Collect and analyze data in partnership with their community

  • Select and manage data systems that delight your team

Customized Training

Coeffect provides customized trainings to teams on all aspects of the topics covered in our self-paced courses. If you have a training or training series in mind, reach out to Paul to start the conversation.

Individualized Coaching

Coeffect offers personalized Data Collection and Analysis Coaching to help nonprofit and social enterprise leaders build their evaluation knowledge and apply these skills in their organizations. Coaching helps you significantly increase your knowledge and confidence in data and evaluation - far more than is possible by reading any book or attending a one-off training, for far less than hiring a consultant for a bespoke project. Coaching also provides you with templates and training content you can share with others on your team, strengthening your team’s ability to collect and use data. You will also have made significant progress on at least one data and evaluation project important to your organization - seeing better results more quickly.

What you get

Coaching meetings last for 30-minutes and happen bi-weekly. In addition to these conversations, our coaching program includes the following components to help you build your evaluation skills and make the most out of the coaching relationship:

  • An initial assessment to understand your data-related strengths and needs

  • Creation of an individualized coaching action plan to help you maximize the coaching experience

  • Access to Coeffect’s Data Collection and Analysis course, a 12-part training covering a full range of data collection and analysis skills, with real-world examples. Sections are bite-sized and link to templates you can apply in your data collection & analysis projects.

  • Monthly office hours with other Coeffect clients, allowing you to troubleshoot challenges and gain inspiration from a group of peers.

Your Investment

Participating in this coaching experience costs $500 per month, and can extend for as long as the coaching continues to provide value. Participants can opt out of coaching by providing 30 days’ notice. In addition, we ask that each participant allocates at least 5 hours each week to their data collection and analysis work, as this will allow them to immediately implement the next steps we discuss. Participants should have an ongoing data collection and analysis project to participate in this coaching experience.
